Catherine Faye Johnson

Catherine Faye Johnson, 72, passed away September 26, 2023 at Randolph Health. She was born in Guilford County, NC on May 18, 1951 to Pink Hubert Johnson and Annie Edna Cole Johnson.

Catherine was a devoted and loving mother and caretaker. She loved people and never met a stranger. She loved her work as an assistant in nursing homes, daycare, and the cafeteria. She was also an accomplished seamstress working for the Deep River Dye Company and Champagne Dye Works. Catherine enjoyed her time at home crafting and crocheting.         

Catherine is survived by her daughter, Cathy Dawn Baldwin (Ben Wilcox) of Asheboro; son, James Edward Johnson of Danbury; grandchildren, Casey Dawn Baldwin, Isaiah Scott Baldwin, Hunter Callicutt; brother, Harry Pink Johnson (Rachel) of Gibsonville; sisters, Mary Sue Sheets of Whittset, Barbara Lou Jones of Whittset; sister-in-law, Grovina Johnson of Sophia; several nieces and nephews and many that thought of her as a grandmother. In addition to her parents, Catherine is preceded in death by her sister, Ruth Ann Kiger; brother, Richard Lee Johnson of Sophia.

The Family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 from 12:30-2 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 S. Main St in Randleman. Funeral services will follow at 2 pm in the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor John Bryant of Mountain of Faith Christian Church will officiate.
