Carrie Graves Vuncannon

Carrie Graves Vuncannon, age 87, of NC Hwy 134, Asheboro died Saturday, February 12, 2011 at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro. Mrs. Vuncannon was born May 29, 1923 in Randolph County, the daughter of Samuel and Lena Beane Graves. Mrs. Vuncannon was a native of Randolph County and retired from Union Carbide. She was a member of Huldah Baptist Church and preceded in death by her husband; William Burr Vuncannon in 2002. She is survived by her son: Charles Vuncannon of Asheboro, granddaughter, Jenny Jensen and her husband, Richard of Asheboro, grandson, Kevin Vuncannon of Asheboro, great granddaughter; Kristen Jensen of Asheboro, and sister; Elbia Bullins of Asheboro. The family will receive friends Monday, February 14, 2011 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, with Rev. Jimmy Shirlen officiating. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Huldah Baptist Church, 7187 Old NC 13, Asheboro. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
