Caroline Rome Smith

Caroline Rome Smith, age 79, of Randleman died Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at Woodland Hill Care & Rehabilitation, Asheboro. Mrs. Smith was a native of Cortland, NY and was formerly employed with Chris-Craft Boat Mfg. Caroline was a member of First Wesleyan Church, in Randleman and a homemaker. She is preceded in death by her husband, Keith Malcolm "Smitty" Smith. She is survived by four daughters: Cynthia Siefkin of Ellsworth, MA, Cheryl Jones of High Point, NC, Penny Smith of Greensboro, NC, Susan Smith of Dryden, NY and two sons: Daniel Heath of Randleman, NC, and Bernard Heath of Cortland, NY; one sister: Genevieve Samson of Hallstead, PA; Half brother, William Farnham of Morganton, NC; 14 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Friday, May 14, 2010 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main St., Randleman, NC. The funeral will be held Saturday, May 15, 2010 at 11:00 am at First Wesleyan Church, 125 Tabernacle St., Randleman with Rev. Don Hurlburt officiating.
