Carol Parks Williams

Carol Parks Williams, age 66, of 865 Onvil Rd., Mt Gilead died Friday, November 15, 2013 at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro. Carol was born January 12, 1947 at Montgomery County, NC, the daughter of Grover Atlas and Hildred Morris Parks Taylor. She was a member of Holly Mount Baptist Church, a former school bus driver for the Montgomery County School System and a retired custodian from Montgomery Community College. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Williams and one brother, Glenn Parks. She is survived by her significant other of 16 years: Ronnie Haywood of the home; two sons: Dwight Williams of Asheboro, Dale Williams of Mt Gilead; two grandchildren: Mason and Tyler Williams; two sisters: Faye Morris of Denton, Kathy Furr of Star; four brothers: J C Parks of Littleton, Colorado, Raymond Parks of Albemarle, Steve Parks of Star, Bobby Parks of Denton. The family will receive friends Sunday, November 17, 2013 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, 211 North Main Street, Troy; other times at the home. Funeral services will be Monday at 2:00 pm at Holly Mount Baptist Church, Holly Mount Church Road, Mt. Gilead with Rev. Bill High officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
