Carmon Duane "Zeak" Voncannon, age 74, of 206 Rock Hill Drive, Star died Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at First Health Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst.Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 9, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Callicutt Chapel Wesleyan Church with Rev. Bob G. Freeman officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.Mr. Voncannon was a native of Randolph County and was a retired truck driver with Carolina Container in High Point. He was a member of Callicutt Chapel Wesleyan Church. Zeak was an avid gardener.He is survived by his wife, Madalee "Dot" Cagle Voncannon; 1 grandson; 1 great granddaughter; brothers, Jimmy Voncannon of Seagrove, NC, Danny Voncannon of Seagrove, NC; sisters, Linda Voncannon of Miami, FL and Susie Voncannon of Charlotte, NC.The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 8, 2009 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC and other times at the home of Jimmy Voncannon, 274 Little River Rd., Seagrove.
