Carlie Wade Poindexter

Carlie Wade Poindexter, age 74, of Supply passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington.

Mr. Poindexter was born in Dobson, NC on December 30, 1944 to Marvin Albert and Margie Rae Poindexter. He was the retired owner/operator of A&W Custom Painting. In addition to his parents, Carlie was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Jennifer Poindexter, and brother, Charles Poindexter. Carlie loved to fish, but especially loved to spoil his grandkids.

He is survived by his former wife and companion, Janice Harris Poindexter of Asheboro; sons, Jason Poindexter and wife Mindy of Asheboro, Doug Poindexter and wife Angel of Asheboro, and Adam Poindexter and wife Melanie of Supply; grandchildren, Owen, Jackson, Damien, Ivan, Olivia, Hannah, Coleman, Carter, Abby, Megan, Caroline, and Mattie; great granddaughter, Everly; brothers, Clarence Poindexter of Asheboro, Tommy Poindexter of Franklinville, Larry Poindexter of New Hope, and Marty Poindexter; and sister, Carolyn Green of Robbins

The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 13, 2019 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro and other times at the home of Jason and Mindy Poindexter, 3549 Lassiter Mill Road in Asheboro. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 14, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Casey Harris and Rev. Michael Poindexter officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park.
