Carl Wayne Cox

Carl Wayne Cox, age 67, of Randleman died Friday, February 13, 2015 at his home. Mr. Cox was born January 15, 1948 the son of Cleo Junior and Alice Marie Frazier Cox. Carl was a native of Randolph County and served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Randleman Church of God. Carl retired from Klaussner Plant #1 in Asheboro and was employed with Advance Auto in Randleman. He coached for Randleman Little League Baseball and umpired Randleman High School Baseball. He loved his family, his church and the outdoors where he was an avid sportsman and Carl also loved his K-9 buddies Hank and Jewel. He is survived by his wife: Shirley Craven Cox; sons: Kevin Wayne Cox of Randleman, and Jerry Allen Cox and his wife Kristen of Randleman; mother, Marie Cox of Asheboro; father, Cleo Cox and his wife Kathleen of Bennett; grandchildren: Brent Cox of Greensboro, Cassie Cox, Gracie Cox, and Natalie Cox all of Randleman, Brittney Aviles and her husband Joel of Sophia, and Amber French of Asheboro; great grandchild, Mason Shumaker of Asheboro; brother: Cleo Edwin Cox and his wife Debbie of Asheville. The family will receive friends Sunday, February 15, 2015 from 1:30-2:45 pm at Randleman Church of God, 305 E. Brown St., Randleman. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm with Rev. Troy Wilhelm officiating. Burial will be held Monday, February 16, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Randolph Memorial Park in Asheboro. Memorials may be made to Hospice Of Randolph, P.O.
