Candis "Ginger" Hunsucker

Candis "Ginger" Harris Hunsucker, age 71, of Troy died Friday, November 9, 2018 at Carolinas Healthcare System Albemarle, NC.

Mrs. Hunsucker was born July 7, 1947 in Troy, NC the daughter of the late Charlie Harris and the late Virginia Saunders Harris. She was employed by McRae Industries, Inc. as a Personnel Administrator for 37 years. Ginger was a strong, faithful, Christian woman. She loved her family and always had a smile for anyone she met. She was active in her church and always was the first to welcome everyone.

She is survived by her husband: Joe Hunsucker; three daughters: Kemberly Snyder of Star, NC, Melissa Sanders and husband Mark of Troy, NC and Julie Knox and husband Randy of Anderson, SC; one son: Jeff Hitt of Longs, SC; three sisters: Joanne Huntley of Harrisburg, NC, Kaye Wells of Columbia, SC and Martha Todd of Charlotte, NC, and two brothers: Bob Harris and wife Faye of Mt. Gilead, NC and Bud Harris and wife Peggy of Troy, NC; 10 grandchildren; 4 ½ great grandchildren.Visitation will be held Sunday, November 11, 2018 at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Troy, NC from 6-8 pm. A Funeral service will be held on Monday, November 12, 2018 at White Crest Baptist Church, 1051 River Road, Mt. Gilead, NC at 2 pm, with Rev. Ken McRae officiating. Burial will be in White Crest Baptist Church Cemetery, Mt. Gilead.
