Bruce Carlton Redmon, Sr., age 66, of Denton died Saturday, January 27, 2018 at his daughter’s home in Asheboro.
Mr. Redmon was born July 5, 1951 in Franklinville, the son of the late Carl Jones and Lauretta Routh Redmon. He was a Machine Technician for 50 years who had a great sense of humor and had a lifelong passion for bowling. Bruce enjoyed traveling to the beach and the light of his life were his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by both of his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Redmon of the home; daughter, Dawn Jones and fiance Bobby Strickland of Asheboro; sons, Bo Redmon and wife Nicole of Asheboro, Justin Surratt and wife Holly of Thomasville, and Scott Redmon and wife Heather of Summerfield; grandchildren, Hannah, Darian, Gabby Jo, Harley, Shelby, Jaxon, and Kylie; sisters: Routh Ellen Davis of Asheboro, and Mary Fulton and husband Bob of Franklinville; and his special canine companion Daisy.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 31, 2018 from 6 - 8 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. A memorial service will be held on Thursday February 1, 2018, at 12:00 pm at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bo Redmon officiating.
