Bruce Wayne Hicks

Bruce Wayne Hicks, age 91, of Asheboro died Saturday, August 17, 2019 at Randolph Hospice House, Asheboro.

Mr. Hicks was born March 15, 1928 the son of Morris and Oneita Gilbert Hicks. Bruce was a native of Grand Rapids, MI., and served in the US Army. He was the Chief Financial Officer for Control Data. Bruce enjoyed the outdoors, golfing, boating, gardening and yard work. He was a great handyman and a gentle loving person with a kind soul. In addition to his parents, Bruce is preceded in death by his children: Dean Hicks, Jerry Lebow, and Duane Lebow; sisters, June Radabaugh and Jackie Munski.

He is survived by his wife: Florence Edgerton Hicks, daughters: Debbie Peters (Jim) of Howell, MI, Pam Yagiela (Dale) of MI, Sally Schafer of Pickney, MI, Dolly Slimp (Dolan) of Lake Havasu, AZ, Mary Lamm of TX, Kathy Easterly (Mark) of Sophia, NC, Linda Maurico (Jim) of MI and Nancy Turner (Jay) of Saginaw, TX,; sons: Donald Hicks (Michelle) of Senora, CA, James Lebow (Deborah) of Sophia, NC and Tom Lebow (Venessa) of Yuba City, CA,; brother: Allen Hicks (Marilyn) of Battle Creek, MI.: 126 grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Thursday, August 22, 2019 from 1:00 - 1:45 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm in the Chapel with Chaplain Tim Pheagin officiating. Interment will be held at Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro Friday, 10:00 am.
