Brenda York Walker

Lucy Brenda York Walker, age 71, of 3195 Montclair Court, Asheboro died Saturday, September 28, 2013. Brenda was born in Asheboro on August 10, 1942 the daughter of Herbert and Frances Hunter York. She was a member of Community Baptist Church in Candor, and had been employed as a bus driver and teacher's assistant at Seagrove Elementary School. She was a former member of The Christian Life Trio, and was predeceased by her husband Everett Walker. She is survived by two sons: Todd Walker and his wife Paula, and Jeff Walker all of Asheboro; grandson, Steven Walker and his fiancée Abby Cannon of Asheboro; one sister Gail Smith and her husband Melvin of Ramseur; and one brother Ronnie York and his wife Pat of Asheboro. The family will receive friends Monday, September 30, 2013 from 12:00 - 1:30 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. A graveside funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM at New Hope Memorial Gardens, 3448 New Hope Church Road, Asheboro with Rev Shaun Garner officiating.
