Brenda Faye Sumner Farlow, 76, of Sophia passed Thursday, August 29, 2024 at Randolph Hospital in Asheboro, NC. She was born December 13, 1947 in High Point, NC to Charles Wayne Sumner and Florence Crotts Sumner.
Brenda will be remembered as a loving wife, sister, aunt, and friend. She was known as being sassy, special, and always full of life. Brenda graduated from Randleman High School in 1966 and spent many years as a seamstress in the furniture industry. She was married to the love of her life, Richard, for 51 years. Her nieces and nephews were her children and loved being around her family more than anything. Brenda was the rock of the family and always put them and those she loved first in her life. She was a great cook, loved to play cards, and was often found working in her garden with her flowers.
Brenda is survived by her sisters, Nancy Farlow of Sophia and Diane Hoover of Thomasville; several loving and beloved nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William Richard Farlow and brothers, Charles Eugene Sumner, Roy Lee Sumner, and Thomas Edward Sumner.
The family will hold a Celebration of Life and Interment at a later date.
