Brenda Sue Brown Staley, age 66, of Asheboro died Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at the Randolph Hospice House.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at West Asheboro Church of God, 197 Lewallen Rd., Asheboro with Rev. Matt Gunter officiating. Burial will follow in Randolph Memorial Park.
Mrs. Staley was a native of Asheboro. Brenda was preceded in death by her father James Brown and daughter-in-law Theresa Staley. Brenda loved her family and always wanted them close, laughing and making noise. She enjoyed traveling, especially to Ireland where she visited six times. She also loved Duke Basketball and ECU Football.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Staley, daughter, Lisa Nelson and her husband Bill of Randleman; son, Bobby Staley of Asheboro, grandchildren, Jennifer Robbins of Randleman, NC, Chris Robbins of Sophia, Robbie Staley of Asheboro, Alex Staley and his wife Tayla of Ramseur; and mother, Rachael White Brown of Asheboro.
The family will receive friends Friday, April 4, 2014 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro.
The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Brenda's caregivers, Agnes Cook, Cheryl Coe, Robin Taylor, and Mallory Taylor, who gave her loving and compassionate care.
