Bonnie Irene Inman Tate, age 81, of Asheboro died Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at Woodland Hill Care & Rehabilitation, Asheboro.
Mrs. Tate was born June 22, 1934 the daughter of William Alexander and Katie Jones Simpson Inman.
Bonnie was a native of Randolph County and a member of White Hall Evangelical Methodist Church in Randleman serving as song leader from 1964 - 2008. She loved playing the piano and singing. In addition to her parents Bonnie is preceded in death by her husband Cecil Tate, son Johnny Tate, 3 sisters and 5 brothers.
She is survived by her daughters: Barbara T Corum and her husband Danny of Franklinville, Joyce Brady and her husband Thomas of Trenton, FL., Terri Brady of Sophia, Jeanne Bell of High Point, Wanda Morgan and her husband Jesse of Asheboro, and Patricia Wood of Randleman; sons: Timothy Tate of Asheboro, and Matthew Tate of Randleman; 31 grandchildren; 60 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; sisters: Mildred Medina of Trinity, and Becky Hess of Chambers, AZ.
The family will receive friends Saturday, January 9, 2016 from 2:00 - 2:45 pm at Whitehall Evangelical Methodist Church, 3335 Wesleyan Rd., Randleman, NC and other times at the home of Barbara Corum, 1893 Creekwood Dr., Franklinville, NC. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm at the church, with Rev. Harold Thompson officiating. Burial will be held in the church cemetery.
