Bonnie Potts

Bonnie Harmon Potts, age 68, of Asheboro passed away on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at her home.

Mrs. Potts was born in Jenkin Jones, W.V. on February 14, 1950 to John and Margaret Murray Harmon.  Bonnie was employed with Champagne Dye Works for 20 years and was a member of God Outreach Ministries.  In addition to her parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, John Bay Potts.  Bonnie was a kind, loving, strong, and giving lady who was always putting others first.  She enjoyed gardening, flowers, flea markets and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her sons, Johnny Barfield, Jr. of Asheboro, Matthew Barfield and wife Michelle of Asheboro; daughter, Bonnie Barfield of Asheboro; 7 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; brother, Thomas E. Harmon of East Bend; and brother-in-law, Jonah Potts of Asheboro.

The family will receive friends on Friday, April 13, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at God Outreach Ministries, 1828 Rayburn Street in Asheboro with Pastor Tim Poindexter officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
