Bobby Charles Shirley

Bobby Charles Shirley, age 70, of Denton died Monday, January 19, 2015 at home surrounded by his family and loved ones. Mr. Shirley was born September 10, 1944 in Randolph County to Frank and Ethel Shirley. He retired from Flowers Bakery as a route supervisor. He also was a former owner and manager of several restaurants and was previously a Randolph County Sheriff's deputy. Mr. Shirley was a very dedicated and giving person who loved his family unconditionally and rarely met a stranger. A man who made and gave more money away than most people make in a lifetime. In addition to his parents, Mr. Shirley was preceded in death by brothers, Oliver and Walter Shirley and his son, Greg Odom. He is survived by his daughter, Paige Shirley-Williams; grandchildren, Justin, Joshua, Morgan and Madison Williams, Addie Allmon; step-daughter, Holly Allmon and husband Chris; brother, Frankie Shirley and wife Linda; sister-in-law, Lucy Shirley; nephews, Chad Shirley and wife Kathy, Adam Shirley; great niece, Kristen Shirley; great nephew, Cameron Shirley. The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 21, 2015 from 6 - 8 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro.
