Bobby Lee Medley

Bobby Lee Medley, age 80, of Asheboro died Friday, May 26, 2017 at Randolph Hospice House. Mr. Medley was born December 19, 1936 in Guilford County to Lacy and Mary Medley. He was a US Navy veteran and a retired carpenter/plumber. Mr. Medley loved spending time fishing or hunting and enjoyed panning for gold. He loved working on his guns or tinkering with automobiles. Mr. Medley was a kind and generous man who helped others and loved to spend time with his family and friends. In addition to his parents, Mr. Medley was preceded in death by his sons, Bobby Lawrence Medley and Robert Wade Medley. He is survived by his wife, Glenda Cheek Medley; daughters, Sharon Medley of Asheboro, Gina Skeen of Seagrove; sons, Tom Medley and wife Sarah of Asheboro, Ray Medley of Greensboro, Mike Medley of the home, Brian Medley and wife Darlene of Asheboro, Dale Medley and wife Wendy of Asheboro; 19 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Sunday, May 28, 2017 from 6 - 8 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 29, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Freedom Baptist Church, 2078 N. Asheboro School Rd., Asheboro with Pastor Rick Byerly officiating. Burial will be in Faith Chapel Church Cemetery in Pleasant Garden. The family would like to thank the staff of Hospice of Randolph for their care and support given to Mr. Medley and his family.
