Bobby Franklin Hill

Bobby Franklin Hill, age 76, of Asheboro died Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at his home. Mr. Hill was born August 11, 1939 in Asheboro to Blake and Margaret Hill. He graduated from Asheboro High School and retired as assistant fire chief for the City of Asheboro. Mr. Hill loved golf and could frequently be found on the front porch of Asheboro Municipal Golf Course. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hill was preceded in death by his wife, Diane Hill, son, Michael Hill, sisters, Hilda Briles and Golda Stephens and brother, Corky Hill. He is survived by sons, Brian Hill of Asheboro, Greg Hill and wife Carolyn of Lexington; grandsons, James Hill, Logan Hill and Anthony Hill; 5 great grandchildren; sister, Joyce McGee and husband James of Asheboro; brother, Tom Hill and wife Louise of Sophia. The family will receive friends Friday, September 4, 2015 from 2:30-3:30 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. Funeral services will follow at 4:00 PM in the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Moses and Gary Mason officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery.
