Bobby Howard Bonkemeyer

Bobby Howard Bonkemeyer, age 71, of 1307 Pepperidge Rd., Asheboro went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, March 6, 2009. Mr. Bonkemeyer was a native of Asheboro and a member of the National Guard. He was retired co-owner of Bonk's Cleaners and a member of Central United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife: Gretna Sink Bonkemeyer; daughters: Denise McNeill and her husband Ray; Debbie Slack and her husband Thomas all of Asheboro, NC; He was a devoted grandfather to Brittany and Brandon McNeill; sisters: Loretta Williams; Lois Rumbley and her husband, Ray; Shelba Laughlin and her husband Malcom all of Asheboro, NC; brothers: Edward Bonkemeyer and his wife Ava Lee of Seagrove, NC, Donald Bonkemeyer; Charles Bonkemeyer and his wife Linda all of Asheboro, NC. The family will receive friends Sunday March 8, 2009 from 6 - 8 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC or other times at the home. The funeral will be Monday March 9, 2009 at 2:30 PM at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro with Dr. Mark J. Key and Rev. Barry L. Queen officiating.
