Blythe Lee Rose, age 82, of Asheboro died Saturday, February 8, 2014 at the Randolph Hospice House.
Mr. Rose was born in Asheboro on August 17, 1931 to Coy and Stella Hare Rose. He was the owner/operator of L&M Trucking and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, Blythe was preceded in death by his wife Martha Jean Rose and brothers Reginald and Harvey Rose. Blythe enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing, and riding his four-wheeler. He was a kind and loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
He is survived by his daughters, Patsy Dalke Gomez and her husband Louie of Asheboro, Linda Bergman and her husband the late Dana Bergman of California, sons, Wayne Rose of California, Shannon Plott and his wife Rissy of Waynesville, Shane Plott and his wife Carolyn of Maggie Valley; grandchildren, Bobby Dalke, Jr. and his wife Donna, Brian Dalke and his wife Kim, Brad Dalke and his wife Holli, Christy Garner and her husband Alan, Jesse Plott, Tyler Plott, Cory Plott, Alex Plott, Sunshine Grant, Bea Grant, and Jordan Grant; 11 great grandchildren; and sister, Ruth Hunter and her husband Jimmy Ray of California.
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 14, 2014 from 1:00-2:00 pm at Russell's Grove Baptist Church, 5118 US Hwy 220 Business South, Asheboro. Funeral services will follow on Friday at 2:00 pm at Russell's Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Fonner officiating. Burial will be in Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park in Waynesville.
