Blanche Jarrell

Blanche Bristow Jarrell, age 85, died Saturday, April 21, 2012 at Carillon Assisted Living of Asheboro, NC. Mrs. Jarrell was born December 20, 1926 the daughter of Samuel A. and Bessie Pankey Bristow. The family will receive friends Monday, April 23, 2012 from 2:30 - 4:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC and other times at the home of her daughter, Barbara Marlette. The funeral will follow at 4:00 PM in the Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, Asheboro. Mrs. Jarrell was a native of Randolph County and a homemaker. She was a loving mother, grandmother/great-grandmother who enjoyed taking care of her family. She will be truly missed by all who knew her. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband: Vernie M. Jarrell; son: J. Steven Jarrell; four brothers and two sisters. She is survived by: daughter and her husband: Bonnie J. and Michael Colburn of Barboursville, VA; daughter and her husband: Alice J. and Michael Turner of Ridgeway, VA; daughter and her husband: Barbara and David Marlette of Asheboro, NC; granddaughter and her husband: Amy and Bryan Cuthbertson of Ridgeway, VA; grandson and his wife: James C. III and Becky Burris of Ridgeway, VA; granddaughter and her husband: Anna and Lucas Moore of Stoneville, NC; granddaughters: Morgan and Makenna Marlette of Asheboro, NC; grandson and his wife: Richard and Lori Jarrell of Thomasville, NC; grandson (whom she raised) and his wife: Stevie and Kim Jarrell of Asheboro, NC; granddaughter: Melissa Jarrell of High Point, NC; grandson and his wife: Kenny and Debra Jarrell of Asheboro, NC; 12 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
