Bismark Harris

Ernest Bismark Harris, Jr., age 91, of 418 Shiloh Road, Troy died peacefully Friday, April 29, 2011 at his home. Mr. Harris was born April 30, 1919 in Troy, NC, the son of the late Ernest and Annie Jane Hurley Harris and retired from Springs Mill in Biscoe. He was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Even through his sickness, he continued to show his great sense of humor up to the very end. He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Grace Davis Harris of the home; Sons, Ronald, and his wife Sigrid Harris of Troy, NC, Rev. Wilson and his wife Diane Harris of Trinity, NC, and Lowell and his wife Dorothy Harris of Clayton, NC, Six Grandchildren, and Eight Great Grandchildren. The family will receive friends Monday from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at First Wesleyan Church, 1368 NC Hwy. 134 N, Troy, NC, 27271. The funeral will follow at 2:00 PM at First Wesleyan Church, with Rev. Jeff Ray, and Bismark's son, Rev. Wilson Harris officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family would like to express their deep appreciation to Dr. Michael McLeod and his staff for their love and concern and especially to his son, Ronald, for all that he has done for his father during his illness.
