Billy Harold Willard

Billy Harold Willard, age 77, of Randleman died Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at The GrayBrier Nursing And Retirement Center, Trinity. Mr. Willard was a native of Randolph County. Billy was a member of First Baptist Church, Asheboro and the Masonic Lodge #188. He was a retired veteran of the US Army where he received the Bronze Star and numerous marksmanship awards. He was formerly employed with the U.S. Postal Service. Billy was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Lillie Mae "Chick" Willard, and sister, Jean Henry. He is survived by his wife of 57 years: Sara Bess Ward Willard of the home, children: Debbie Kennedy of Pleasant Garden, Sandy Routh and her husband Tim of Archdale, Brian Willard and his wife Angie of Julian, Angie Hunter and her husband Dave of Mt. Holly, and Ryan Willard of Charlotte; grandchildren, Taylor and Christian Kennedy, Beau and Nicole Routh, Justin and Kaleb Willard, Tommie and Lissie Hunter; sister: Peggy Ryan of Greensboro; brother: Dr. Tommy Willard of Moore, SC. The family will receive friends Saturday, February 9, 2013 from 4:00 - 5:00 pm at First Baptist Church Of Asheboro, 133 North Church Street, Asheboro, NC. The memorial service will follow at 5:00 pm with Dr. John S. Rogers officiating and the Randolph County Honor Guard providing military honors.
