Billy Wayne "Red" Whitaker, age 60, of 4306 Holland Road, Greensboro died Sunday, March 1, 2009 at Randolph Health & Rehabilitation, Asheboro.Mr. Whitaker was born January 13, 1949 in Greensboro, NC the son of Willie and Helen Christine (Burger) Whitaker. Billy was loved by many and will be greatly missed. He is survived by five sisters: Pat Beane of Asheboro, NC, Rita Teague of Greensboro, NC, Martha Reagan of Trinity, NC, Teresa Smith of Greensboro, NC, Samantha Whitaker of Greensboro, NC and one brother: Larry Whitaker of Asheboro, NC and many nieces and nephews.
