Billy Richard Duncan

Billy Richard Duncan, age 67, of 1033 Luck Rd., Asheboro died Saturday, April 29, 2006 at his home. Mr. Duncan was born August 30, 1938 in Whiteville, NC the son of the late Mayo and the late Carrie E. (Robinson) Duncan. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 2, 2006 2:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro with Rev. Mark Spencer officiating. Burial will follow in Randolph Memorial Park. Mr. Duncan was a native of Whiteville, NC and a retired truck driver. He was a member of the Truck Drivers Teamster Union with the Local 557 Chapter in Baltimore and the Local 134 Chapter in Indianapolis. He formerly owned and operated Billys 76 Gas Station in Seagrove and Duncans Trucking Service in Baltimore. Billy was a member of the New Beginning Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his former wife, Brenda Wright Duncan. He is survived by his wife: Mary Taylor Duncan, five sons: Billy R. Duncan, Jr., David Duncan, Michael Cotton Duncan all of Whiteville, NC, Douglas Duncan of Asheboro, NC and Gary Buddy Duncan of Lexington, NC; two daughters: Jeanette Duncan of Whiteville, NC and Donna McIe of Randleman, NC; step son: Daniel B. Taylor of Little River, SC; two step daughters: Vickie Kummerfeldt of Honolulu, HI and Laurieanne Taylor of Whiteville, NC; 14 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 9 step grandchildren, 1 step great grandchild; four brothers: Earl Duncan of Madison, NC, Royce Duncan, Alton Duncan and Larry Ray Duncan all of High Point, NC; seven sisters: Shula Mae Ezzell of Bladenboro, NC, Eunice Cox, Frances Terrell, Nellie Vines, Helen Harmon, Alice Faye Duncan and Ruby Catron all of High Point, NC. The family will receive friends Monday, May 1, 2006 from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC.
