Billy Cranford

Larry William "Billy" Cranford, age 47, of 5868 Fred Lineberry Rd., Randleman died Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at his home. Mr. Cranford was a graduate of Randleman High School in 1980 where he played Football, Basketball, Baseball and ran Track. Billy was a member of the Level Cross Athletic Association, coached softball and baseball teams, assistant coach football at Randleman High School with Coach Gregory and active in the RHS Booster Club. He loved the "Redskins" and UNC Tarheels. Mr. Cranford was employed as a salesman for many years.He is survived by his wife: Nan Johnson Cranford, daughter: Cayla Cranford and son: Jackson Cranford all of the home; parents, Lawrence "Larry" and Cora Williams Cranford; brother: Gary Lee Saunders of Sunset Harbor, NC; brother, Gene Saunders and his wife, Barbara of Franklinville; brother, Beauford Cranford, Jr. and his wife, Danielle of Asheboro; sister, Ellen Cranford Tolbert and her husband, Keith of Thomasville, NC; sister, Diane Cranford Jones and her husband, Travis of Augusta, GA. Multiple nephews and nieces and great-nephews and nieces.The family will receive friends Thursday, June 4, 2009 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC. The funeral will be held Friday, June 5, 2009 at 3:00 PM at Crestview Wesleyan Church, 180 Crestview Church Rd., Asheboro with Dr. Daniel Leroy officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery, Asheboro. Memorials may be made to Level Cross Athletic Association, 5607 Woodstream Rd., Randleman, NC 27317
