Billy Wayne Adkins, Sr., age 59, of 4327 Old High Point Street, Randleman died Saturday, February 4, 2012 at Randolph Hospice House, Asheboro.
Mr. Adkins was born October 5, 1952, the son of Clarence and Daisy McKinney Adkins.
Mr. Adkins was a native of Stokes County and a member of Whitehall Evangelical Methodist Church. He formerly worked for Ultracraft in Liberty. Billy was preceded in death by his parents: Clarence and Daisy Adkins, his infant son: James Rual Adkins and his son: John Daniel Messer.
He is survived by his wife: Nancy Conner Adkins of the home, two sons: Billy Wayne Adkins, Jr. and his wife, Stephanie of Stoneville and Odell Brady and his wife, Leigh of Greensboro, two daughters: Vicki Woodard and her husband, Tony of Asheboro and Tonya Trogdon and her husband, Troy of Randleman; 9 grandchildren: Casey, Karri, Hanna, Nancy, Jared, Zack, Kody, Hunter and Jakob; 2 great grandchildren: Tristin and Trevor; brothers: Richard Adkins of West Field, William Adkins of Greensboro, Robert Adkins of FLA and Bobby Adkins; sisters: Shirley Hege of Kernersville and Dorothy Adkins of Randleman and the mother of his children: Sharron "Punkin" Ayers.
The memorial service will be held Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Randolph Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Jonathan Perdue officating. The family will receive friends following the service and other times at his home.
