Bill Varner

William Howard (Bill) Varner, 74, died Thursday at Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem. Family visitation will be Saturday from 6-8 pm at Pugh Funeral Home. Funeral Will be Sunday at 1:30 pm at New Union Methodist Church, Asheboro. Burial will follow at the church cemetery with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard. He is preceded in death by his parents Howard and Mary Varner, brother John Varner and sister and brother-in-law Diane V. and John Anderson. He is survived by his wife Francis Coble Varner; brothers Bobby Varner of Denton, Richard Varner of Level Cross; sisters Peggy Allmon and husband James, Helen Luck and husband Gary, Betty Allmon and husband Billy, and Margaret Clark and husband Jeffery all of Asheboro. A life-long lover of classic Ford cars and trucks, Bill operated Varner's Garage for many years. He will be truly missed by family, many friends, and car enthusiasts everywhere.
