Lester W. "Bill" Price, age 75, of Old Lexington Road, Asheboro died Sunday, December 21, 2008 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, Winston- Salem.A Memorial Service will be held at his home church, First Evangelical and Reformed United Church of Christ 221 Cliff Road, Asheboro on Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Dale Kennedy officiating. The family will receive friends in the Church Fellowship Hall immediately following the service. Bill was a native of Winnsboro, SC and was retired from Avco Financial Services. He served four years in the US Navy and most recently served as warden at Lake Lucas in Asheboro. He was preceded in death by his parents: Robert and Georgia Price ; sister: Dot Rutland; and grandson: Joshua Bradshaw.He is survived by his wife of 53 years: "Sam" Price; son and his wife, Lester W. Price II and Gail of Asheboro, NC; son and his wife, Ron Price and Kelli of Huntersville, NC; son and his wife, Trick Price and Jamie of Asheboro, NC; daughter and her husband, Debbie Bradshaw and Raymond of Denton, NC; grandchildren: Brent Price, Amy Price, Katie Price, Aaron Price, Christopher Price, Megan Price, Mia Devilbiss, Erin Devilbiss, Sydney Price, Ethan Bradshaw and Teran Bradshaw; brother and his wife: Bobby Price and Rose of Las Vegas, NV and a sister and her husband: Sybil Hilliard and Arnold of VA.In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to: First E & R UCC 221 Cliff Road Asheboro, NC 27203.
