Bill Henson

William "Bill" Harold Henson, age 81, of Asheboro died Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Randolph Hospice House, Asheboro. Mr. Henson was born September 23, 1932 the son of William McKinley and Estelle B. Jones Henson. Mr. Henson was a native of Randolph County and of the Baptist Faith. He was formerly employed in catering and as a security guard. He loved traveling to the mountains and the beaches. Bill was an unconditionally loving father and grandfather and loved big band music. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his wife: Hazel Henson and a sister: Delores Marter and two grandchildren: Timothy Irving Henson and Ava Elizabeth Luck. He is survived by son: Michael J. Henson and his wife, Mariea of Asheboro, one daughter: Sue H. Henley and her husband, Jerry of Archdale, son: William Luck and his fiancé, Kristy Kennison of Greensboro, two grandchildren: Dustin Henson and his fiancé, Krystal Hussey of Asheboro, and Laura Henson of Asheboro, four great grandchildren, two nieces and two nephews. The family will receive friends Thursday, January 30, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 31, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Billy Page officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro.
