Bill Farr

William Allen "Bill" Farr, age 77, of 403 Ridge St., Asheboro died Thursday, December 4, 2008 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital, Greensboro.Mr. Farr was born November 10, 1931 the son of Frank and Mattie (Gray) Farr.Mr. Farr was a native of Randolph County and served in the US Army Air Corp. and later the US Air Force. He was co founder of Farr Knitting and had worked at several hosiery companies in Asheboro and retired from JRA Industries. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Frances Yannuzzi. He is survived by his wife: Betty Dickens Farr; Son and his wife, Billy Ray and Susan Farr of Asheboro, NC; son: Tim Allen Farr of Asheboro, NC; daughter & her husband, Tonya and Tim Luck; granddaughter, Carrie Palmer of Cary, NC; granddaughter, Lora Maynard of Randleman, NC; grandson, Jacob Luck of Asheboro, NC; grandson, Luke Luck of Asheboro, NC; great granddaughter, Anna Palmer; two sisters: Nancy Black of High Point, NC, "Pete" Norris of Asheboro, NC and one brother: Tommy Farr of Asheboro, NC.The family will receive friends Sunday, December 7, 2008 from 1:00- 2:30 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. The funeral will follow at 3:00 PM in Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mark C. Beane officiating.
