Bill E Burgess

Bill E. Burgess, age 86, of Asheboro died Sunday, December 7, 2014 at Randolph Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Barry Morris officiating. Burial will follow in Whynot Cemetery with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard. Mr. Burgess was born in Ramseur on August 24, 1928 to Earsie and Thelma Stubbs Burgess. Bill was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy and was retired from Burlington Industries after 30 years of service. Bill was a member of First United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his brothers Jack and Bob Burgess. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Stout Burgess; daughters, Billie Moody and husband Ritchie, Sara Brennan and husband Mark; son, David Burgess; grandchildren, Bryan Moody and wife Ashley, Mandee Hunter and husband Jess, Darren, Christopher, and Blake Brennan, Kelli and Allison Burgess; great grandchildren, Montgomery and Tess Moody. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 12, 2014 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro.
