Beverly Jean Grant

Beverly Jean Grant, age 49, of 156 East Academy Street, Asheboro died Saturday, June 4, 2011 at Randolph Hospice House, Asheboro after a courageous battle with cancer for eight months. Ms. Grant was a native of Randolph County. Beverly was a friend to all who knew her and never met a stranger. She attended Asheboro High School with the Class of 1980 and participated in the Special Olympics, winning many awards. Beverly was one of Jim's Kids. A special thanks to Dr. Kirsten Cox, her husband Damon, and the staff of Cox Family Practice for the loving care given to Beverly. The family would also like to thank the staff of Randolph Hospital and the Randolph Hospice House. She is survived by two sisters: Gloria Grant and Gwendolyn Pack both of Asheboro, NC and one brother: Eddie Grant of Huntersville, NC; niece, Elizabeth Glass Gill and her husband Christopher; niece, Leann Scott; nephews, Roger Pack and Landon Grant; great nephews, Jackson Gill and Ben Gill and great niece, Kristchona Scott. The family will receive friends Sunday, June 5, 2011 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC and other times at the home of Gloria Grant, 661 Maple Ave., Asheboro. Funeral Services will be held Monday, June 6, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Browers Chapel United Methodist Church, 1030 Browers Chapel Road, Asheboro with Rev. David Spaulding officiating. Burial will be follow in the church cemetery.
