Beulah Mae Owens

Beulah Mae Owens, age 85, of Ramseur died Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Universal Health Care in Ramseur. Ms. Owens was born May 17, 1928 in Asheboro the daughter of John William and Essie Mae Miller Moore.

Ms. Owens was a native of Randolph County, retired from Klaussner Furniture in Asheboro with over 20 years of service. A few of her hobbies were fishing and knitting but above all Beulah dearly loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a very generous, caring and giving person always putting the needs of others before her own. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her step mother, Delphia Moore; brothers, Gene and Junior Moore; sisters, Levitus Beane, Vera Chisholm and husband Johnny William Owens.

She is survived by daughters, Brenda O. Floyd and husband Donnie and Alice O. Williams and husband Jerry both of Asheboro; son, Danny Owens and wife Vivian of Asheboro; grandchildren, Darin R. Floyd and wife Angie of Asheboro, Phillip R. Floyd and friend Crystal Perkins of Asheboro, Tige Williams and wife Sarah of Burlington, Chad Owens of Wilmington, Christie Drumwright and husband Gordon of Asheboro, Phillip Waugh and wife Jennie of Asheboro, Chris Waugh and wife Angela of Wilmington; 7 great grandchildren; sisters, Ruth Cranford and husband David and Sue Newlin both of Asheboro; brother, Wayne Moore of Asheboro; brother-in-law, Waymond Beane of Asheboro.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro with Rev. Gerald Hussey officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park in Asheboro.
