Betty Lewallen Roessing King age 83 of 187 North Church Street died on Friday, August 16, 2013 at Clapp's Convalescent Nursing Home in Asheboro.
Mrs. King was a native of Asheboro, was a 1948 graduate of Asheboro High School and attended Guilford College and Kings Business College in Greensboro, NC. She was retired from Randolph Electric Membership Corp. after 40 years of service. She was a life long member of First United Methodist Church.
Mrs. King was the daughter of the late Isley Cox Lewallen and Robert (Bob) C. Lewallen. She loved her family, friends and pets and was the happiest when they were around.
She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Koren C. (K.C.) King, and sons Norvin W. Roessing, Jr. and wife Amy, Robert M. (Bob) Roessing and wife Debi both of Asheboro, Step Daughter Karan A. King of Ormond Beach, FL, Step Sons C. Craig King and wife, Maria and Mark King and wife Sue all of Asheboro, Granddaughters Carly Roessing, Chelsea Roessing, Roxanne Roessing. Grandson Zane Roessing. Step Grandchildren Erica Hayes, Michael Hayes and wife Laura, Kim Campana, Kelly Yates, Caroline King, and Lance King. Step Great Grandson Anderson Carter Hayes. A twin brother Robert (Bob) C. Lewallen and wife Betty of Asheboro and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 18, 2013 from 6-8 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC.
Funeral service will be on Monday, August 19, 2013 at 2:00 pm at First United Methodist Church, 224 North Fayetteville Street, Asheboro, NC with the Rev. Dan Ramsey and the Rev. George W. Roberson officiating.
Burial will be in the City Cemetery on Salisbury Street in Asheboro, NC.
