Betty Jane Norton Hughes, age 87, of Randleman died Friday, September 13, 2019 at Universal Health Care of Ramseur.
Betty Jane was born March 25, 1932 the daughter of Bruce Edward and Ercie Lewis Norton. Jane was a native of Danville, VA and was a office manager for a construction company in Greensboro. She attended Midway Wesleyan Church in Randleman and enjoyed playing the piano and fellowship with friends and family. In addition to her parents, Jane is preceded in death by her sister, Helen N. Mustain.
She is survived by her daughters: Beth Holm (Jerry) of Roswell, New Mexico and Ellen McDonald (Mike) of Randleman; sons: Keith Hughes (Cindy) of Silver Spring, MD and Cary Hughes (Susie Fullerton) of Omaha, Nebraska; grandchildren: Casey Hughes (Kristen), Chelsie Hughes, Jennifer Turner (Kenneth), Austin Holm, Courtney Holm, Madison Holm, Stephanie Saferite, and Aaron McDonald; great grandchildren: Charlie and Taylor Hughes, Darren, Natalie and Vera Turner; Hailey and Brayton McDonald, Tucker and Talyn Saferite.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 28, 2019 at 3:00 pm at Midway Wesleyan Church, 331 Worthville Rd., Randleman with Rev. J. Arnold Luther officiating. A celebration of Jane's life will follow the service in the fellowship hall.
