Betty Lou Farr

Betty Lou Dickens Farr, age 81, of Asheboro died Friday, May 5, 2017 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Farr was born December 25, 1935 in Asheboro to Julius and Lena Dickens. She was a sweet and loving mother and "Nannie" to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Farr was preceded in death by her husband Bill Farr.

She is survived by her daughter, Tonya Luck of Asheboro; son, Billy Ray Farr and wife Susan of Asheboro, Tim Allen Farr of Asheboro; grandchildren, Dr. Carrie Palmer and husband Bryon of Cary, Lora Owens and husband Shane of Asheboro, Jacob Luck of Asheboro, Luke Luck of Asheboro; great grandchildren, Anna, Rebecca and Nora Palmer of Cary, Ben Maynard of Asheboro, Tracie Owens of Asheboro, brothers, Jerry (Joann) Dickens and Steve (Annie Sue) Dickens all of Asheboro.  The family will receive friends Monday, May 8, 2017 from 12 noon - 1:30 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 PM at Oaklawn Cemetery, 737 Albemarle Road, Asheboro.
