Betty Kindley Dunn, age 80, of Asheboro, NC entered into the Eternal Presence of her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ on Monday, February 2, 2015 at Randolph Hospice House, Asheboro, NC.
She was born December 2, 1934 to the late G.R. Kindley, Sr. and Lula Myers Kindley. She was also the granddaughter of the late Samuel Scott and Ada Williams Myers and the late Cicero and Celia Kindley. She is also predeceased by an infant son whom she is now reunited with.
She was a 1953 graduate of Asheboro High School and a member of Sawyersville Wesleyan Church.
She ran the race of life fully and with completeness. She fought the good fight of faith, finished her course, and is now enjoying the presence of the Lord with loved ones and friends. Her manner of life exemplified the virtuous woman of Proverbs 31. She was an excellent cook and nothing pleased her more than to prepare a meal and provide an atmosphere in her home of love and fellowship for family and friends. She had a delightful smile that could turn a bad day into a good one! She was a compassionate and kind friend and neighbor to many.
She is survived by the love of her life and husband of 62 years, David Brown Dunn of the home. She is also survived by three devoted daughters and sons-in-law, Celia Craven and husband, John; Carolyn Crawford and husband Randy; and Susan Butcher and husband Todd.
Surviving are also five grandchildren who absolutely adored their Nanny and MomMaw-Phillip Crawford; Coral Moreno; Kathryn Watson and husband Frankie; Patrick Crawford; Sarah Cooke and husband Travis; and Lauren Smith and husband Jason. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren, Landon Thomas Watson; Zachary Matthew Cooke; John Luke Watson; and Anna Lucille Cooke.
In addition, she is survived by her best friend and devoted sister, Polly Bunting and her husband, C.H. and brother and all-time hero, G.R. Kindley, Jr. and wife Mary Ellen of Rockingham, NC.
