Betty Dawkins

Betty Henley Dawkins, age 79, of 102 S. Coble St., Randleman passed away Saturday, April 25, 2009 at Clapps Convalescent Nursing Home, Asheboro.Mrs. Dawkins was born December 7, 1929 the daughter of Robert and Mattie Henley. Mrs. Dawkins grew up in the Farmer area and was a homemaker. She was the former owner of Charles Place in Randleman. She was a yard sale expert, loved jig-saw puzzles and had a green thumb. She was preceded in death by her husband J. C. Dawkins. She is survived by one daughter: Linda Dawkins of Winston- Salem, NC and four sons: Randy Dawkins of Granbury, TX, Charles Dawkins of Charlotte, NC, Mike Dawkins and Johnny Dawkins both of Randleman, NC; 9 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren; two sisters: Marjorie Rush of Asheboro, NC, and Irene Luck of Ulah, NC.The family will receive friends Monday, April 27, 2009 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC and other times at her home. The funeral will be Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, Randleman with Rev.
