Betty Boykin Auman, age 78, of Asheboro died Thursday, March 23, 2017 at Randolph Hospice House.
Ms. Auman was born April 2, 1938 in Fayetteville to Willie and Mamie Boykin. She grew up in Asheboro and attended Fayetteville Street School. Ms. Auman was retired from Carolina Precision Plastics and attended Sunset Ave. Church of God. In addition to her parents, Ms. Auman was preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey Lee Bullins and sisters, Dorothy Green and Mildred Callahan. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who loved everyone unconditionally.
She is survived by brother, Sonny Boykin of Holden Beach; daughters, Kathy McMasters Ester of Asheboro, Tena Ritter and husband Dwight Ritter of Coleridge, Bonnie Bonkemeyer and husband Rick of Asheboro, Crystal Auman Lamar of Asheboro; grandchildren, Gina and Jada Ritter, Brooke Stevenson, Andrew Stevenson and wife Maggie, Kori McMasters, Tiffany Yelton and husband Bayne, Brittany, Bethany, Victry, Charity and Joshua Lamar; great grandchildren, Sidney Yelton, Autumn Tysinger, Liam Bradds; former husband and friend, Lester Auman and her loving dog, Daisy.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 28, 2017 from 10:00 - 11:30 AM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 noon in the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Brian Pierce officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Forsyth Medical Center and Hospice of Randolph for their loving care and kindness to Betty. Also, to her good friend and neighbor Rita.
