Betty Chilton Andrews, age 80, of 1023 Greystone Rd., Asheboro died Sunday, July 6, 2008 at her home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at 2:00 pm at First United Methodist Church, 224 North Fayetteville Street, Asheboro with Rev. Michael Holder and Dr. Donald Haynes officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park. Mrs. Andrews was a native of High Point, attended Elon College and was a retired finance officer with Randolph County Board of Education. She was an active member of First United Methodist Churchwhere she was a member of the Christian Love Sunday School class. Mrs. Andrews was preceded in death by her parents, John C. and Jessie Bryant Chilton and her husband, Clayton C. Andrews, Jr. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Douglas B. and Cheryl H. Andrews of Wilmington, NC; daughter and son-in-law, Leslie A. and James A. Thacker of Hudson, NC; son and daughter-in-law, John C. and Carol H. Andrews of Asheboro, NC; grandchildren, Douglas Bryant Andrews, II and Natalie C. Andrews both of Wilmington, NC, Ethan A. Thacker of Hudson, NC, John Bradley Andrews and Christopher H. Andrews both of Asheboro, NC; sister, Jan Chilton of Little River, NC and brother, Roger B. Chilton of Clemmons, NC. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall. The Andrews family would also like to express their gratitude for the special care supplied by Nancy Hoskins and Angie Jerrell and Hospice of Randolph.
