Bessie Owens Phillips

Bessie Bay Owens Phillips, age 90, of 400 Vision Dr., Asheboro died Friday, March 12, 2010 at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at 11:00 AM in Oaklawn Cemetery with Rev. George W. Roberson officiating. Mrs. Phillips was a native of Mt. Gilead and was formerly employed with Dixie Furniture. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Phillips. Bessie loved gardening and sewing. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She is survived by her daughter, Cotoy Copen of Asheboro, NC; son, Barney Phillips of Asheboro, NC; 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Arrangements by Pugh Funeral Home, Asheboro.
