Bessie Furr O'Brien

Bessie Furr O'Brien, age 75, of 962 Maple Ridge Road, Asheboro died Saturday, March 6, 2010 at Randolph Health & Rehabilitation, Asheboro. A native of Cabarrus County, NC, Mrs. O'Brien was a member of St Joseph's Catholic Church. She was a weaver with Klopman Mills then Gailey & Lord, retiring with 25 years of service. She is survived by her husband: Robert J. O'Brien, Jr., three sisters: Liddie Russ of Rockwell, NC, Annie Hurlocker of Greensboro, NC, Bertia Hollmon of Glenola, NC, two brothers: Robert Furr of Stanley County, NC, Perry Furr of Rockwell, NC, sister-in-law, Helen Furr of Concord, NC; and nephews, Mike and Tony Furr of Concord, NC. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10:30-11:30 AM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. A praying of the rosary will begin at 11:30 am at the funeral home. The funeral will be Wednesday at 1:00 PM at St Joseph Catholic Church, 512 W. Wainman Av., Asheboro where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Christopher Davis.
