Bertha Kerns Cagle

Bertha Kerns Cagle, age 101, of Asheboro died Saturday, October 29, 2011 at Clapps Convalescent Nursing Home, Asheboro. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at 1:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Holder and Rev. George Roberson officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery, 737 Albermarle Rd., Asheboro. Mrs. Cagle was a native of Montgomery County and a member of First United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Women's Club. She was previously employed with Acme McCrary Corporation and Scott's Book Store. Mrs. Cagle was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Cagle and her son, Alton L. Cagle. She is survived by her son, Terry Cagle and his wife Loraine of Greenville; 4 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren and sister, Edna Jenkins of San Diego, CA. The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 2, 2011 from 11:00-12:45 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC.
