Berta Jean Hayworth

Berta Jean Idol Hayworth, age 85, of Asheboro died Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Randolph Hospice House. Mrs. Hayworth was born June 4, 1931 in Forsyth County to Joseph and Julia Idol. She was a homemaker and a member of Bethel Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hayworth was preceded in death by her son, Ronnie Hayworth, grandson, Derrick Delk and great grandsons, Logan and Andrew Trogdon. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, David Franklin Hayworth, daughters, Donna Delk and husband Richard of Denton, Julia Trogdon and husband Gary of Asheboro, Beth Richardson and husband Dean of Asheboro; sons, Michael Hayworth of Kernersville, Stephen Hayworth and wife Margaret of Ramseur, Randy Hayworth of Asheboro, Joe Hayworth of Asheboro; 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; brother, Donald Idol and wife Nancy of Kernersville; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Friday, March 10, 2017 from 2:00 PM - 3:30 PM at Bethel Baptist Church, 4836 Robbins Circle Rd., Asheboro. Funeral services will follow at 4:00 PM with Rev. Claudie Harrison and Pastor Jody Harrison officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family request memorial contributions be made to the charity of donor's choice.
