Bennie Eugene Walker

Bennie Eugene Walker, age 62, of 1432 Faith Meadows Lane, Asheboro died Thursday, November 17, 2011 in Siler City. A family memorial service will be held. Mr. Walker was born in Asheboro, NC on July 8, 1949 to George and Catherine Trotter Walker. He served in the U.S. Marines from 1969-1970 during the Vietnam War and retired from the U.S. Army in 1988. In May 1969, Bennie received the U.S. Navy Commendation Medal for Heroic Achievement. He is survived by his sons, Christopher Walker and his wife Jennifer of Burlington, NC, Scott Walker and his wife Jill of Asheboro, NC; grandchildren, Cody, Kaitlyn, Caleb, and Camden Walker; sister, Shannon Walker of Asheboro, NC; and his former wife, Alicea. Pugh Funeral Home in Asheboro is serving the Walker family.
