Bennie Ray Hodges

Bennie Ray Hodges, age 83, of 9251 US Hwy. 220 Bus. N., Randleman died Thursday, May 13, 2010 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital, Greensboro. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 17, 2010 at 2:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dennis Smith officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park with military honors provided by the Randolph County Honor Guard. Mr. Hodges was born on February 21, 1927 in Richmond County to Raymond Lee and Matilda Mae Smith Hodges. He was a US Navy veteran of WWII. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hodges was preceded in death by his wife, Jessie Mae Norton Hodges, son, Bennie Mitchell Hodges; brother, Fairley Lee Hodges and son-in-law, Donald Lee Barrett. He is survived by daughters, Brenda Faye Barrett of Asheboro; Cathy Ann Yates of Randleman; sons, Claude "Gary" Hodges of Randleman, Bennie "Darrell" Hodges of Randleman; 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Monday, May 17, 2010 from 12:30-1:45 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman. Memorials may be made to Moses Cone Palliative Care, 1200 N.
