Benjamin Franklin Coleman, age 80, of 149 Greenforest Rd., Randleman died Sunday, May 5, 2002 at his home in Randleman, NC Mr. Coleman was born December 4, 1921 at the son of the late Will and the late Lilly (Williamson) Coleman. Mr Coleman was a native of Rockingham County and a graduate of Madison High School in 1940. He served in the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1945 as a Staff Sergeant. He was a member of the Asheboro Masonic Lodge # 699 and a Shriners of the Oasis Temple of Charlotte. Mr. Coleman was the owner of Coleman's Realty for 40 years. He is survived by one daughter: Sheila L. Coleman of Randleman, NC two sisters: Sally Cardwell of Mayodan, NC, Rose Hicks of Newport News, VA granddaughters, Jenny Park of Asheboro, NC; and Cheryl Broach of Randleman, NC; 2 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 9, 2002 from 10-11:00 AM at Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, Randleman, NC. The funeral will be on Thursday at 11:00 AM at Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church, 119 W. River Drive, Randleman with Rev. Ronald D. Van Lente officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Greenville Shriner's Hospital For Crippled Children, 950 W. Faris Rd., Greenville, SC 29605-4277.
