Bascome Orville "Bill" Wright, Jr., age 76, of Asheboro passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2019 at Hinkle Hospice House in, Lexington.
Mr. Wright was born in Asheboro on October 26, 1942 to Bascome O. Wright, Sr. and Juanita Wilson Wright. Bill was former owner of Asheboro Key and Lock for over 30 years. Prior to owning this business he was the owner of Wright's Country Kitchen and was formerly employed with Ramseur Interlock. He was a member of Richland Baptist Church and attended Spoons Chapel Christian Church. Bill loved classic automobiles and tractors.
He is survived by his daughter, Ellen W. Bailey of Winston-Salem; son, Todd Wright and wife Iris of Asheboro; grandchildren, Matthew and Andrew Bailey and Rebekah and Lucas Wright; brothers, Bobby Wright and wife Ellen, Jim Wright and wife Patricia, and Donny Wright and wife Linda all of Asheboro; and friend and caregiver, Brenda Landreth of Asheboro.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 2, 2019 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro. The funeral will be held on Monday, June 3, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Isaac Fetterhoff and Rev. Tommy Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery.
