Barry William Richburg

Barry William Richburg, age 66, of Asheboro, died Thursday, January 30, 2014 at his home. Mr. Richburg was born March 6, 1947 in Leaksville, NC to Ethel Hundley Richburg and R. P. Richburg. He was a 1965 graduate of Asheboro High School. Mr. Richburg retired from Joseph O. Shaw Bonding after many years of service. He was formerly employed with Asheboro Police Department and was a Lieutenant with Randolph County Sheriff's Department. He is survived by his wife, Jane Harris Richburg; daughter, Tamara Richburg-Owen of High Point; son, Charles Richburg of Asheboro; daughter, Sharon Sikes of Seagrove; grandchildren, Taylor Richburg, Hollis Kirkman, Silas Kirkman; brother, Don Richburg of Asheboro. A memorial service will be held Sunday, February 2, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro with Rev. Jody Harrison officiating. The family will receive friends following the memorial service. The family would like to express their appreciation and thank you to Dr. Nina Uppin and her staff and also the nursing staff at Randolph Hospital, Moses Cone Hospital and Clapp's Nursing Home.
